چکیده

We consider the problem of reachback communication in sensor networks. In this problem, a large number of sensors are deployed on a field, to measure the state of some physical process that unfolds over the field and to then cooperatively send this information back to a distant receiver for further processing. We formulate the problem as a multipleinput, single-output (MISO) system, and develop a time-division scheme based on transmission of simulated radar echoes. Information is encoded in the spatial electromagnetic reflectivity function of virtual point reflectors, and decoded with a conventional range radar receiver. Transmitter diversity and the use of pulse compression radar waveforms are exploited for both increased reliability and increased data rate. Information theoretic and simulation-based performance characterizations are also presented.

Distributed and Cooperative Compressive Sensing Recovery Algorithm for Wireless Sensor Networks with Bi-directional Incremental Topology

Recently, the problem of compressive sensing (CS) has attracted lots of attention in the area of signal processing. So, much of the research in this field is being carried out in this issue. One of the applications where CS could be used is wireless sensor networks (WSNs). The structure of WSNs consists of many low power wireless sensors. This requires that any improved algorithm for this appli...

Evaluating the deformation monitoring capability of a ground based SAR system with MIMO antenna

By increasing the applicability of ground-based SAR (GBSAR) systems in geoscience and remote sensing, the development and evaluation of new systems have gained attention. GBSAR systems can be utilized for monitoring areas that are hard to or cannot be seen by the airborne or spaceborne systems. Furthermore, they have better spatial and temporal resolutions and are cost-effective and easy to imp...

On the capacity of the reachback channel in wireless sensor networks

We consider the problem of reachback communication in wireless sensor networks: multiple sensors are deployed on a field, and they collect local measurements of some random process which then need to be encoded and reproduced at a remote location. In this paper we present a number of information theoretic bounds on the performance of a distributed transmission array that is formed by a large nu...

Power Control through Noncooperative Game Theory on Wireless Sensor Network

In the sensor network, it is very difficult to use sufficient energy due to limited energy at the sensor nodes. In the distributed sensor network nodes are transmitting signals having extra energy loss. The work presented here suggests that game theory could provide solution of power control problem in CDMA based distributed sensor network. Thus, basic concepts of game theory and distributed se...
